I get inspired by people, things and places every day. Whether it be something small, like some stranger's blog or something big, like the TOMS One for One movement, it's all so inspiring to me. One of the places I get inspiration from is tumblr. Yeah, some people think it's stupid, others don't understand the point of it or whatever, but I like it. I like going through pages and pages of pictures, quotes, screen caps from movies, articles, ideas, etc and finding things that are interesting and quirky. The thing with inspiration though, is whether or not you do something with it. I get inspired all the time, but I never fully carry out that inspiration to its full potential. I'll think to myself, "OH MAN, that's so smart; I should do that too!" I'll maybe carry on for a few days, and eventually get lazy and forget. Isn't that terrible? Can you imagine the things I could have done had I had the motivation and passion to carry those inspirations to their full potentials? It could have been something amazing. I could have been the source of someone else's inspiration.
Why am I writing all of this today? Of all days, why today? Well, I stumbled upon some stranger's blog, read some of her posts, related to her thoughts and feelings and thought to myself, "I have so many similar thoughts! Why should I keep them all cooped up? Why should I care what other people might think? Maybe if I write it out, instead of being judged, they might actually understand my feelings and relate to me." And so... here we are.
I don't know if I'll actually keep this up. I hope I do. It's something I've always enjoyed (though being in college might have killed my desire for writing... all those papers x_x). I used to love writing so much. I still do, but I'm not as open and eager as I used to be.
They say it says 21 consecutive days of doing something consistently before it becomes a habit. I'll consider this my first post of twenty one. If I can post every day for 21 days, maybe I'll be able to blog consistently.
