March is here?!

Dang, it's already March? Where has the time gone?

Only one take home exam stands between me and spring break. Nothing exciting going on for my week off. I just need a break from Rochester. I'm so tired of school and the weather is depressing. Not to mention, I miss Dan. I don't mean to sound like one of those girls, but there are some days when I wish that he was still a 10 minute drive away instead of a 6 hour drive away. This might sound crazy, but I think doing long distance when I was abroad is easier than having to deal with it right now because when I was in Beijing, I knew that he was out of reach and I had to learn to deal with it. But being in Rochester makes it harder because he's only a few hours away but can't visit that often, which makes him just barely out of reach.

Anyway.

I've been bad about updating my blog. I wish I had things to write about. Interesting things to write about. I tried to make this into a baking blog a while back but I totally failed at that. I like doing the baking, but I'm not so good at reporting about it later on. I love reading blogs and I feel inspired to write when I read blogs, but I never actually do it. This whole blogging thing is hard. I definitely admire all the bloggers out there who update everyday (with pictures and everything). I used to be very good about blogging back in high school. Not so much now. I wonder what changed. I haven't been keeping up with my 365 project on Flickr either. I really don't want to give up though, but at the same time, I've been neglecting it so much that I feel like maybe it's better just to stop the project.

I don't know..

Drowning in new technology

This generation is indeed one chock full of new technology. With all the new things that have come out in the past few years, there are no signs of it slowing down at all. Two weeks ago, the iPad came out and now Google has just released Google Buzz - twitter on speed. I've been playing with it all afternoon and I gotta admit, it's pretty cool. There's no point in ever leaving your gmail page because Google has it all: email, search engine, calendar, reader, youtube, documents, blogs, texting, google voice and now twitter on speed (aka Buzz).

It's exciting to be a part of all this technological generation; to be able to understand it and use it with ease.

Change is always constant

I'm feeling restless. I can't seem to settle on anything right now; I keep changing my mind. For instance, I switched to tumblr for a few days but to be honest, I didn't like it that much, so I'm back here on blogspot. I can't stick to one thing. I used to change my screenname all the time when I was younger. I always wanted to recreate myself and doing something new. I'm the opposite of my best friend. She always resists change. She hates change. I embrace it because I believe that it is inevitable.

I've had a pretty busy couple of weeks. Life is beginning to catch up to me. I need to get a serious move on with the whole "plans for post-grad life" thing. I'm still going with my 365 project, but I've lost of bit of steam. I was really excited about it when I first started; it was always on my mind. But now... not so much. It sucks, but I'm not going to give up. It's just going to take me a little bit longer than 365 days since I've missed a few days already.

I'm going to try and update more this semester. We'll see how that goes. I barely updated during my semester abroad....

Happy 2010!

It's a brand new year, a brand new decade.

And with this new year, I've decided to take on a challenge. I joined the 365 bandwagon and am going to [attempt to] take a self-portrait every day for a year. A friend of mine has been doing this project for the past year and looking at his pictures really inspires me. I really admire all the hard work he puts into each and every one of his photos. I really want to grow and improve as a photographer. I mean, why would I get such a fancy schmancy camera if I'm not going to use it on a daily basis, right? I'm excited to see where this is going to take me. I'm determined to finish what I have started.

It will all be posted on my Flickr account so go check it out over there.

Here's my photo for today:
