More list updates!

I like lists. I really do. It's a bit of an obsession. Haha :p

Things I want to do over winter break
1. Visit Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree.
2. Go to Magnolia Bakery.
3. PINKBERRY! <3>Drink lots and lots of bubble tea.
5. Eat xiao long bao (小笼包) and shen jian bao (生煎包).
6. Watch Enchanted and I Am Legend.
7. Eat lots of Korean food!
8. And Chinese food.
9. And Japanese food.
10. Just Asian food in general. [Always room for more food ^_^]
11. Go to Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man in Union Square.
12. Go ice skating in Central Park. Or just ice skating in general.
13. Go the Sweet Avenue Bake Shop in Rutherford, NJ
14. Spend New Year's with amazing people.
15. Make a snow man and snow angels! [There isn't ANY snow!]
16. Spend lots of time catching up with old friends. [I've kind of been doing that? Not as much as I'd have liked]
17. Buy new boots.
18. Go to Boston for fun. [To be honest, I didn't expect this to happen at all. I just put it on my list for fun]
19. Get root beer floats @ the FAO Schwartz ice cream parlor!
20. Bake, bake, bake.
21. Make chocolate lollipops :)

So! I'm pretty happy that I've been able to get a decent amount of things done on my list. It's been a very good break so far. Only a week more until I go back to school! I actually want to go back to school because I'm bored of home. I say that now, but I know I'll be wishing I was home a couple of weeks from now when the work gets to be too much and responsibilities too heavy. Then I won't have the luxury of enjoying bubble tea, Pinkberry, good Korean food and mommy's cooking.



I have SO many pictures to post up! And I'll post them up later because I have to get ready. Steph and I are paintin' the town today (so to speak) and hopefully, I'll be able to cross more things off my list by the time I come home tonight!

Merrrrrrrrrrrry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I love the holiday season. I love the decorations, the music, the shopping, the feeling, everything. But I haven't really been feeling it much lately. In my house, the tree and decorations are dependent upon me. I'm the one who puts up the decorations and sets up the tree and all that jazz. We haven't had a Christmas tree in my house in 2 years because I don't get back from school until a few days before Christmas. But it shouldn't matter that we don't have a tree or decorations because the true meaning of Christmas isn't about any of the commercialism that we love oh so much. I have to remember that. I have to admit, I do enjoy the holiday season and all the hustle and bustle of it all, but it's not that important. I guess I'm feeling a bit disappointed right now because today doesn't feel any different. My house is quiet; my grandma is taking her nap and my dad and cousin are watching TV downstairs. I don't know. I'm losing my words.

Anyhoo, on to cheerier things! Last Wednesday, a bunch of us got together at Dan's apartment and had a big ol' Thanksgiving feast. Except we called it a Christmas feast. And it was so good, that we're probably going to have a Valentine's Day feast. And a St. Patrick's Day one too. We had a lot of food and it was amazing. It is definitely going to become a tradition.

A picture of all the food. So much goodness! Actually, that isn't even all of it. There's still a couple of dishes that aren't featured in this picture. Hah, there was so many of us cooking and baking that we had to take turns with the oven and the stove. We had several rounds of food. Ohhh, Dan's turkey was really tasty. Mmm'mmm good.


And here is a picture of my sweet potato casserole with marshmallows! It was my first time making it and it turned out really well. Dan and the black man from Myrtle Beach liked it a lot, so I'm happy ^^ I'll definitely make it again next time for our V-day feast. Ohh, I want to make garlic mashed potatoes too. And cookies. And cake. I can't wait! :)
