I shouldn't try so hard. These things should be more natural. It's kind of ridiculous that I recite silly little instructions to myself about how I should do that or this. My mother is always telling me what to do, what I should do, how I should act, and look. All of her words are beating me down. I can't think clearly. I'm tired of listening to her. I hear her words, but my mind is too full to take anything in. I'm tired. I don't even have the strength to tell her that I can't take this verbal abuse anymore. I need some room to fly. I need some space to do things my own way.
I miss Rochester. I miss my independence.
How does she expect me to be independent when she makes me so reliant on her?
I need to clear my head. All I can do is keep breathing.
This will all be over soon.

Dunder Mifflin
I really love "The Office". It's such a good show. I absolutely adore Jim and Pam. They are so cute.
I've been watching a lot of episodes by myself and with Dan. I started watching them awhile back, but never had the time to watch until now. Kevin cracks me up too. And Dwight. Harhar. A lot of the times when I'm watching, I have this strong urge to slap Michael in the face. Steve Carell is a great actor. So is Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski.
I want to be Pam's friend. And Jim's too.
Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam...

Rain, rain
The rain is a bit late. April showers? While the coolness of the air feels nice, I've already gotten used to the sun. What is this rain business? It's almost May! May flowers! My allergies aren't that bad. Which is surprising because usually I'm dying in April and May. Maybe the pollen in Rochester isn't as potent as the pollen back home. Who knows? I'm not complaining.
So, I'm pretty bad at keeping up with posts. I've gotten lazy with taking pictures and keeping up with updating. Not that I was ever really that great with keeping up with posting, but it's gotten progressively worse. There isn't much to update on. The life of a college student isn't very riveting. Occasionally, there are some highlights, but by the time I remember to blog about it, the moment has passed and my laziness starts to set in.
I really want a new camera. Like really. I love my SD 400, but it's getting old, and I want a camera with high mega pixels. Ideally, I want a digital SLR, but they're so expensive! I can't afford one, especially not now (since I can barely afford a new point and shoot camera), especially if it's just for amateur photography. Oioioi. Some day...

Why, oh why...
So I have this issue with inconsistency, and laziness. They tie into each other. I'm inconsistent because I'm so lazy. Mmm, yeah. That sounds about right. I always log into my blogger account and think to myself, "Hm, I haven't updated in awhile. And there's a lot of stuff that I want to write about. But I'm tired right now. Maybe tomorrow." And that goes on for a couple of days, weeks, even months! But lo and behold, here I am blogging, while I should be showering and getting ready for work and then class. I have very good priorities, as you can see.
Ahhhh! It's a lobster! ...Or is it?

And what on earth is this you ask? It's crawfish, straight from New Orleans (Naaaw'Liiins)! I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, strangely enough, not in New Orleans, but in Philly. Crawfish look like mini-lobsters, or as someone else put it, "a giant red cockaroach". I thought it had a very interesting texture, a mix of shrimp and lobster and I really liked the spiciness of it, though I thought it had too much of a fishy taste (for me, anyway). I'd definitely try it again though. I wouldn't mind :)
I've been obsessed with apples lately. It's probably because a couple of weeks ago I discovered that I'm not allergic to them anymore?!?!?! Yes, it is true. I no longer have any allergic reactions to apples. Oh, happy day! I developed an allergy to them a couple of years ago (nothing too serious. I get all itchy around my mouth, and my throat gets swollen and irritated. It's just very uncomfortable) and on occasion (very rare), I'd eat an apple to see if my allergy went away and for nearly 5 or 6 years, I couldn't eat apples without feeling really uncomfortable afterwards. Of course, until a couple of weeks ago when there weren't any bananas left in The Pit and I decided to try an apple instead. And just like that, I'm no longer allergic! Ahhhhhhh, I'm so happy. I love apples; they are so delicious! I really like empire apples, and I just bought a couple of pink lady apples from Wegmans yesterday. Yaaay. It makes me happy. And yes, I know I'm a dork. Kaythx.
