Marching onward...

February is nearly over. I can't believe how fast this month has passed by; only a week and a half more until spring break. I'm going to be 20 in two weeks. Whoo. Unfortunately, I don't have any exciting plans for this break. I'm staying in Rochester until the 13th and then going home for a couple of days... to go to the dentist and the doctor. How exciting ;p

I haven't updated a while (because I'm such a lazy bum) and I have so many pictures to post up! I made dinner for me and Dan a couple of weeks ago and this time I remembered to take pictures of it. And I also have pictures from our belated Valentine's dinner, and pictures from the Etiquette dinner at school, among other things. I've been doing a lot of cooking (and eating. So bad) at Dan's apartment. It's pretty bad though because we always eat really late and then I feel all nasty the next day. I need to stop eating so much! Sheeeesh, must watch what I eat. On the other hand, I found myself an awesome gym buddy and we went to the gym today and worked out for like an hour. I feel pretty dang good right now. We're going again tomorrow and most likely on Friday too. Yay. Mmm, hopefully I'll be able to lose some weight before I go home for spring break. That way, I won't have to listen to my mom and her complaints about my body. Blargh.

I made curry chicken and potatoes for dinner! Dan helped too. He made the rice ;)

Belated Valentine's dinner at Bocaccini's! I want to go again. The pasta Dan ordered was so good.

Etiquette dinner at the Mel w/ Sigmas. I didn't really pay attention to the etiquette talk. I was too busy eating! Hah ;p

Dinner (more like midnight dinner) that Dan and I made on Monday night. He made the steak and I made the potatoes. It was so freakin' good, even though I felt really guilty about eating it so late. Moahaaha, I'll post up the recipes for the curry chicken&potatoes, Dan's steak and the potatoes next time... if I remember :)

Now I feel really hungry after looking at all those pictures. Time to go eat dinner...

Oh puddin'

Helllllooooooooo! I haven't updated in awhile. I've been pretty busy with school, China Nite, China Nite.. and China Nite. BUT China Nite is finally over! The show was last Saturday and I think it went pretty well. Everyone did an awesome job. I messed my lines during the skit, but I'm just so glad it's over! All the practices and rehearsals were eating up my LIFE. I woke up this morning thinking, "OH SNAP, I don't have any practices or anything to go to!" It was such a good feeling. Aaaand then I went back to sleep, haha.

The true meaning of pretty in pink!

Anyhoo, I made chocolate pudding last night (recipe courtesy of smittenkitchen.com!!) and it came out deliciously. I initially had some technical difficulties, but in the end it came out as chocolately goodness. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take any pictures of it because I was too busy making it and eating it. Moahaha, but I'll be sure to snap lots of pictures the next time I make it. And there will definitely be a next time. I'm really happy with the way it came out! ^_^

Happy belated Valentine's Day! I got two flowers from Jean and Jiang. Hehe, so sweet. Cindy, Jocelyn, Brian and I went out to dinner at Dino's BBQ, but other than that, nothing particular happened. Dan had class all night on Thursday so we didn't do anything. He is taking me out to dinner tonight though. I haven't an inkling of what he has planned. All I know is that he told me to dress nicely. Hrmmm, I wonder where we're going ^^

ANYHOO, midterms season is quickly approaching. Ack, I have midterm on Monday and I have a take home essay that I have to do before the exam on Monday. And I should probably study a little for the test too. Hm. And as always, I have a mountain of Chinese to catch up on! Ughhhhhhh. It's time to move back into the library again. Oytothevey.

Bleeding from the pocket

I just bought 15 books for my 2 history classes and my poli-sci class. My bank account is crying right now. Though I did manage to save myself about 70 bucks due to my employee discount. I love discounts. Such a beautiful word. Sighhhhh. But seriously, why is school so expensive?! As if I'm not already paying a crap load to be in school, I also need to spend a bundle on books that I pick up only once or twice during the semester. Maybe if I was a better student, my books would be better used. But then again, I'm not a very good student. I tend to skip out on my reading assignments about 2 weeks into the new semester. Man, I should really try hard this semester to be diligent and studious. Uhh, it's always so easy to say than to actually do.

Mmm, I should really go for some Pinkberry right now..

Oyoyoy. I think I've already fallen behind on my classes. I know, it's pretty terrible. I should be better. 我真得要好好努力学习。Speaking of Chinese, I just started watching 恶作剧2吻 (It Started With a Kiss 2: They Kiss Again). Hahaaa, it's so cute. I probably shouldn't be watching it since I'm so busy and all, but I can't help myself. I love Asian dramas ^__^

All over the place

I have this thing for accumulation. I like accumulating things. I guess I'm a bit of a pack rat-ish? But anyhoo, I went to B&N the other day with Evans, and being the Asian I am, I sat down in the cookbook section and flipped through this one cupcake recipe book, and wrote down the recipes that I liked. What's the point of buying the entire book, if I'm only really interested in a few of the recipes? Haha, that and I'm broke. I have to stop spending money. Last night, my mother came into my room and demanded that I write down all the purchases I've made since I've gotten home for break. She then proceeded to lecture, nag and yell at me. It wasn't very pleasant. And I felt uber bad. And fat. I've been spending a lot of money on eating out and food. Man, I need to stop. It's going to be all about going to the gym when I go back to school. I hope. I'm so bad with keeping up with working out. I suck at consistency.

Anyhoo, I just finished reading The Namesake. It was such a good book. Now I need to watch the movie, but I already know that it won't be as good as the book. Movies can never match up to the original text. The Notebook is a good example. I thought the movie was a disappointment. The book was so so so much better and more profound. I'm picky. I swear, I'm like the only girl who didn't love the movie. But seriously, I didn't see anything that great about it. It didn't move me to tears or anything. Whatever.

I'm pretty proud of myself for finishing the book. I usually take a really long time to finish books; that or I never finish. But I started this book when I got back from and finished it yesterday. I haven't read a book for leisure in awhile. I forgot how much I love delving into books and losing myself in a new world. Mmm, I need to make more time in my life for leisure reading.

I hate packing. It's such a pain in my butt. I have so much crap and I always manage to forget stuff at home when I go back to school. I'm so absentminded, oy. I'm a bit afraid for when I graduate and have to move back home. I'm going to have so much stuff. My room can barely fit me and my stuff as it is. I seriously need a larger room. I live in a walk-in closet.

More list updates!

I like lists. I really do. It's a bit of an obsession. Haha :p

Things I want to do over winter break
1. Visit Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree.
2. Go to Magnolia Bakery.
3. PINKBERRY! <3>Drink lots and lots of bubble tea.
5. Eat xiao long bao (小笼包) and shen jian bao (生煎包).
6. Watch Enchanted and I Am Legend.
7. Eat lots of Korean food!
8. And Chinese food.
9. And Japanese food.
10. Just Asian food in general. [Always room for more food ^_^]
11. Go to Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man in Union Square.
12. Go ice skating in Central Park. Or just ice skating in general.
13. Go the Sweet Avenue Bake Shop in Rutherford, NJ
14. Spend New Year's with amazing people.
15. Make a snow man and snow angels! [There isn't ANY snow!]
16. Spend lots of time catching up with old friends. [I've kind of been doing that? Not as much as I'd have liked]
17. Buy new boots.
18. Go to Boston for fun. [To be honest, I didn't expect this to happen at all. I just put it on my list for fun]
19. Get root beer floats @ the FAO Schwartz ice cream parlor!
20. Bake, bake, bake.
21. Make chocolate lollipops :)

So! I'm pretty happy that I've been able to get a decent amount of things done on my list. It's been a very good break so far. Only a week more until I go back to school! I actually want to go back to school because I'm bored of home. I say that now, but I know I'll be wishing I was home a couple of weeks from now when the work gets to be too much and responsibilities too heavy. Then I won't have the luxury of enjoying bubble tea, Pinkberry, good Korean food and mommy's cooking.

I have SO many pictures to post up! And I'll post them up later because I have to get ready. Steph and I are paintin' the town today (so to speak) and hopefully, I'll be able to cross more things off my list by the time I come home tonight!
